- Sandersonia is a much better performer in arrangements and bouquets.

- Upright stem structure with small orange lantern flowers hanging down.

- Only one species exists, Sandersonia aurantiaca, of the Colchicaceae family.

- Native to South Africa.

- Store 4C to 8C in the cooler. 
- Select stems with the lower third of the stem showing open buds, the rest will open slowly upon floral preservative hydration. 
- It has an excellent vase life of between 14-21+ days, with the blooms continuing to mature up the stem over this period.
- High demand has been experienced because of its form and ability to be used in many types of arrangements.
- Available mostly from New Zealand, sometimes from Holland.
- Not ethylene sensitive. 
- Use floral preservative to help buds open. 
- Recut 2cm off each stem (diagonal) and replace water every few days. 
- Remove foliage below the waterline.

  • Graded by length and bunched by 10 stems.

  • Ship best when aqua picked to avoid dehydration.
